HTSNE – High Triterpene Shea Nut Extract
Shea butter has long been recognized as an excellent emollient for skin applications with it exceptional soothing, softening, and moisturizing effects. Much of these effects are attributed by the rich bio-active compound known as the triterpenes. These triterpenes are found within the unsaponifiable fraction of the shea butter.
At best, natural raw shea butter typically contains 2~6% unsaponifiable fraction. With advances in the refinement process, the unsaponifiable fraction of the shea butter can now be extensively extracted, thus creating the HTSNE – a substance high in triterpene compound.
Derived From Plant – 100% Natural
The HTSNE contains 4 types of plant triterpene: alpha-amyrin, beta-amyrin, lupeol, and butyrospermol. There have been over one hundred research studies done over the past 25 years on the health effects of these triterpene compounds. One particular beneficial effect is the ability to fight inflammation. There are other benefits that includes pain relief, anti-irritancy, and lowering cholesterol.
